These Terms and Conditions apply to all use of budgetreadymadecurtains.co.nz (referred to as the “Website” or “Site”), including all transactions for the sale of goods through this Website.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. We recommend that you print and retain a copy for future reference. We also recommend that you review the terms and conditions of any other services accessed through this Website. By using this Website (referred to as “you” or “your”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, whether or not you register an account. If you do not agree, you must not use this Website.

These Terms and Conditions may be amended from time to time. Any changes will take effect from the date they are published on the Website. You should review the Terms and Conditions each time you visit budgetreadymadecurtains.co.nz.


Product Information

All dimensions displayed on our Website are approximate. While we make every reasonable effort to ensure accuracy, minor variations may occur.

Product descriptions are correct to the best of our knowledge. If you identify any errors, we would appreciate you notifying us so we can correct them promptly.

Product images are intended to provide a fair representation of the physical products. However, we cannot guarantee that the colours or appearance displayed on your device exactly match the actual product. Category images are for illustrative purposes only and may include products not sold on our Website.

Unless otherwise stated, all products sold on this Website are intended for domestic use only. Products purchased for business or commercial use may not be entitled to the protections and warranties provided under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, to the extent permitted by law.

We reserve the right to amend prices, offers, specifications, or product availability at any time prior to order acceptance.

If you are not the end user, you confirm that you have the authority to bind any person or entity on whose behalf you are using this Website.


Account Registration & Security

When registering an account, you must create a secure password unique to this Website. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account details.

If you believe your account or personal information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at info@budgetreadymadecurtains.co.nz.

All personal information provided must be accurate, complete, and current. You must notify us of any changes by emailing info@budgetreadymadecurtains.co.nz.

You confirm that you are not impersonating another person or entity, nor using a name you are not authorised to use.

Fraudulent, false, or misleading orders are strictly prohibited.


Legal & Regulatory Disclosure

We may disclose your personal or user information to the Police or other relevant regulatory or government authorities where required for the investigation of suspected illegal activity or as otherwise required by law.


Orders & Acceptance (Shopify-Compatible)

An Order Confirmation Email confirms that your order has been received and that payment has been successfully processed through our Website.

Once your order has been prepared and dispatched, you will receive a Dispatch Confirmation Email containing courier tracking details.

We reserve the right to cancel or refund any order prior to dispatch, including but not limited to cases of pricing errors, stock unavailability, or suspected fraudulent activity. Where an order is cancelled, a full refund will be issued.

Ownership and risk of goods pass to you upon delivery, provided payment has been made in full.

If an item is out of stock, we will contact you and offer the option to:

  • wait for restocking,
  • cancel the affected item, or
  • cancel the entire order.

If multiple items are ordered and one item is unavailable, the same options apply.

Once payment has been processed, placing an order constitutes a legally binding contract between you and budgetreadymadecurtains.co.nz.


Delivery

Delivery timeframes are estimates only.

  • Orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 business days.
  • If alteration services are required, dispatch may take up to 5–10 business days.

Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

Some deliveries may require a signature. The signature obtained at the delivery address will be deemed proof of delivery.

Orders containing multiple items may be delivered separately.

Delivery is available within New Zealand only.

We are not liable for delays caused by weather conditions, natural events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.


Product Recalls

If a product is recalled for quality or safety reasons, we will notify affected customers directly by email and provide instructions on the required action.


Payment

We accept payment via PayPal, credit/debit card, and online bank transfer.

Payment is processed at the time of order via our secure payment system. Orders will be prepared for dispatch once payment has been successfully confirmed.


Pricing & GST

All prices are displayed in NZD and include GST at 15%, where applicable. We reserve the right to amend prices if GST rates change.

If a pricing error occurs, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price. If we are unable to contact you, the order will be cancelled.

Sale and promotional prices apply only for the stated period.


Cancellations

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, you may cancel an order before dispatch for a full refund, except for personalised, custom-made, or altered items. Such items cannot be cancelled once production has commenced.

To cancel an order after delivery, you must notify us within seven (7) business days of delivery, quoting your order number. Items must be unused and in reasonable condition.


Returns

If you wish to return an item for any reason, including a change of mind, you must notify us within seven (7) working days of delivery by contacting info@budgetreadymadecurtains.co.nz.

Returned items must be unused, in their original packaging, and in resaleable condition. Items that do not meet these requirements may not be eligible for a refund or exchange.

If a change of mind is notified after an order has already been dispatched, the return will be processed in accordance with the Return Process below, and all applicable return costs and fees will apply.

Once your return request has been approved, you will receive a Return Confirmation Email.

Please note:

  • Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer
  • Original delivery charges are non-refundable
  • A restocking fee of up to 30% may apply, depending on the condition of the returned item.

If your curtains are still in their original packaging and in resaleable condition, please return them to:

Please include inside the return package:

  • A printed copy of the Return Confirmation Email
  • Your bank account name and account number (details must be accurate and verifiable)

Refunds will be processed once the returned goods have been received and inspected, excluding postage and applicable fees.


Faulty Products

If a product is faulty and the issue is not caused by misuse or damage on your part, we will assess the issue and offer a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

If damage is caused by misuse, improper installation, or normal wear and tear, no refund or replacement will be issued.


Missing, Damaged or Incomplete Orders

Please notify us immediately if your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or with missing items.

If you have not received your order within fourteen (14) working days of receiving your Order Payment Confirmation Email, you must contact us promptly so we can investigate the matter with the courier.

All deliveries are tracked via ARAMEX, and ARAMEX tracking records will be used as the primary reference for delivery status.

If no written notification is received within fourteen (14) days of dispatch regarding lost, missing, or damaged items, the order will be considered delivered in good condition for administrative purposes only. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.


Refunds

Refunds are processed once returned goods have been received and inspected.

Please allow 7–10 business days for refunds to be processed.


Liability & Use of Website

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant product. This does not limit any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Website and are not responsible for external websites linked from this Site.

You must not misuse the Website, interfere with systems, or breach any applicable laws.


Reviews

Product reviews reflect the opinions of individual customers and do not represent our views. We reserve the right to remove reviews at our discretion.


Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.
